Another Icon Tutorial

1. Duplicate your layer set it exclusion Opacity 20%

2. Duplicate your layer again and set it to luminosity 20%

3. New Fill Layer > Fill with #fef575 and set it to soft light opacity 40%

4. New Hue/Saturation layer > Saturation 15%

5. Selective Colour Layer:
RED: -99,0,100,0
YELLOW: 100,0,-100,0
CYAN: 47,-73,-100,-100
BLUES: 100,-100,-100,-100
NEUTRALS: 0,0,-28,8

6. Duplicate the base layer drag it to the top and set it to screen 50%.
(Edit it to fit your image of course, not all will look the same)

7. Selective colour layer:
RED: -100,0,100,0
NEUTRALS: 18,0,-11,0

8. Add some textures to it (i got all my textures at http://community.livejournal.com/textures_r_us)

- Duplicate your base layer and set it to exclusion Opacity 25%

- Selective Colour Layer:
RED: -73,0,12,0
CYAN: -18,53,10,32
WHITES: -25,0,0,0
NEUTRALS: 0,4,-9,0
BLACK: 0,0,0,5

- Hue/Saturation Layer:
SATURATION: 20

- Selective Colour Layer:
RED: -27,0,18,0
NEUTRALS: 8,-8,-15,0
BLACK: 0,0,0,15

- Duplicate the base layer and bring it to the top. Set that layer to Soft light Opacity 37%, Sometimes it works better if you use Screen not Soft Light. Just depends on your image.

- Take and set it to screen
- Take and set it to screen, move it around to a good place for you icon and remove the extra parts around the text of it.
- Take and set it to Darken
- Add some text i used "Georgia" size 9 for Maria, for the K use the same text set it to 30, put this behind the Maria and lower the opacity.

Done :)

(with the textures, move them around to fit the your image. Where i placed them just suited the image)

1. Selective colour Layer

CYAN: 14,-33,-11,-7
WHITES: 30,-10,-20,6
NEUTRALS: 6,-19,-23,6

2. ANOTHER Selective colour layer
RED: 99,16,15,-27
NEUTRALS: 28,16,19,-4

3. HUE/Saturation Layer
Hue: 6
Saturation: -7
Brightness: 8

4. NEW fill Layer:
Fill with 3a1572 and set to exclusion (Opacity 19%)

5. FINAL selective colour layer
REDS: -26,19,46,-57
YELLOW: -62,13,9,-10
MAGENTAS: -44,8,10,-10
NEUTRALS: - 13,4,-11,-8

Shadows: -44, -4, -34

New Selective Colour Layer:

Red: -100, 0, 100, 0

Yellows: 76, 26, -100, 0

Neutrals: 30, 0, -10, 0

Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation:

Saturation: 20

Layer > New Fill Layer > Solid Colour :

Fill the layer with #241a66 and set to Exclusion (Opacity 50%)

Flatten and sharpen if you wish

-This tutorial involves Selective Colouring
-Im using Photoshop CS2

1. Duplicate layer

2. Screen duplicated layer (opacity depends on the brightness of your pic, im choosing around 65%)
3. Adjustment Layer > Selective Colour:
red: -78, 23, 100, 0
yellow: -98, 15, 41, 14
neutrals: 55, 0, -51, 0
4. Adjustment Layer > Colour Balance:
midtone: 30, 0, 0
shadows: -30, -2, -40
5. Another Selective Colour Layer:
red: 2, 0, 40, 0
yellow: 29, 0, -100,0

Neutrals: 20, 0, -3, 0

And your done

I figured out a few thing and now have a new layout which im pleased with :) I did NOT make the layout but i did make the header ft. Womens Champion Mickie James :).

I changed my layout and all the icons have messed up, il fix it later. Im such a noob to Livejournal, once iv figured it all out il make a kick ass layout. So here is what im going to do on Tuesday:

Im sure by now you have heard that WWE Diva Ashley has been released from the company. Sure this for alot of people is a bitter sweet moment, i mean she is one of the least liked divas in a long time by alot of people in the internet world but i doubt anyone would of wanted her release to be under the circumstances that it was. Its a weird moment on one hand im like "this is really awful" but on the other hand im like "this is actually what iv wanted for 3 years" being her release not anyone or herself being ill or in trouble. I guess its a moment where you have to sit back and think before you post your final opinion on the situation.

Family always comes first, remember that.
